Animal bedding baler is the equipment used for compressing and packing animal bedding materials into dense cubic bales. Each compressed bale will be bagged with a plastic bag by the machine. These high-density packed bales of animal bedding material are easy to store, transport and sell.
Animal bedding has some main purposes: one is for animals to sleep and rest, the other is for absorbing urine and water.
There is another purpose specially for horse is to prevent the occurrence of horse mucous bursitis. Horse elbow mucous bursitis mostly occurs in large horses due to no bedding material or the bedding is not thick enough. Therefore, the selection and use of animal bedding is very important. Here are some common animal bedding materials:
1. Straw: it is comfortable for lying down. The foal can be born with as little dirt as possible. And it provides recreation for the horse. But it has less absorbency and if straw is eaten by the horse, it may cause discomfort.
2. Wood shavings/chips: good animal bedding material and smells good, but there is dust, and the stables will easily have cobwebs after a certain period.

4. Sawdust: low cost, but has much dust compared with other material, easy to cause eye and respiratory diseases in animals.

6. Peat moss: high absorbency, and can be used as fertilizer after the stables are cleaned. It is easy to dirt the animals, so usually farmers will cover a layer of wood shavings above.
7. Shredded paper: high absorbency and dust-free. But be careful of the dye from the paper getting on animals with light color.
8. Stall mats: easy for cleaning, and can reduce the consumption of other material. But it is not so comfortable for lying as other material, so usually it will be mixed used with other materials.
9. Kenaf: high absorbency, dust-free, and easy biodegradation.
