What is Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF)?
Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) refers to the combustible components from municipal solid waste (MSW). It is the remain after all the recyclable and non-combustible elements are separated when processing MSW. RDF can be used as a substitute of conventional fossil fuel to generate energy in facilities like lime plants, cement kilns, and coal fired power plants.
Why Produce RDF?
Convert waste to renewable energy source like RDF obviously has positive impacts on environment and businesses. It reduces global greenhouse gas emissions, reduces the waste amount sending to landfills, in the meantime, significantly reduces waste management cost, and generating revenue for recycling businesses. It is a way saving our planet while creating economic benefits.
