RDF baler

RDF or Refuse Derived Fuel sounds like a technical term that the general public is never to know nor speak of. This is a great shame because RDF and RDF recycling is magical in their very existence and usage. Refuse-derived fuel is the fuel that is produced from combustible components that have been recycled. This fuel can be used to power any number of machinery and similar objects. There is a process to it and it is quite lengthy but the fact that such an energy source exists is a marvel, to begin with.

The Process of Creating RDF

What is RDF Recycling? RDF recycling is the process by which RDF fuel is created, it involves taking waste from industrial and commercial sights and beginning to work away at them until a fuel source results. The actual waste that is being processed is usually comprised of plastic that can not be recycled. Including cardboard, labels, and other material that would be considered corrugated. The process is quite extensive and it begins by screening the vast assortment of materials in a couple of different ways. The size screening is done to ensure the creation of a pure material that can be substituted as fuel.

After the lengthy screening process, we move on to shredding all of the waste material that has been gathered. Mincing the components is essential as we want to get the pieces down to a form in which they can be easily broken down in the later stages. This process is typically known as coarse shredding.

The second step is to pass the shredded material through a process known as bag splitting. Bag splitting material is an efficient way of unloading the material and transferring it in a proper manner. Essentially prepping it for the next stage of the process known as shredding. Once more the material is ground down, the finer the result the more efficient of an alternative fuel source it will become. The final steps of the process are to separate the remaining material into a couple of different categories. These categories include magnetic separation and refining separation.

Magnetic separation removes any materials that may have a magnetic charge and refining separation is the process in which the remaining waste material is separated into its major constituents. After this extensive and detailed process, the result is a fuel source that can be used in place of fossil fuels.

The reason why RDF recycling is so magical is that the material that was previously thought to be destined for the landfill is given a new use. Trash becomes fuel, continuing to power the machinery that keeps the business going. RDF baler is part of this magic because it plays a significant role in getting the material ready for the process of becoming fuel. More on that below.

RDF Baler and Its Purpose

RDF baler is specially made or used for the purpose of baling up material that is eligible for the RDF recycling process. Remember that this process takes components that would otherwise pollute the Earth and gives them a new life as a fuel source. The RDF baler only further optimizes this process and makes it more efficient.

By using an RDF baler to bale your components, you will be able to fit more into each RDF recycling load. RDF recycling is a lengthy process and companies don't want to go through the hassle unless they know that they will be getting a sizeable return in the process. A baler allows you to measure your potential fuel returns per bale. The more you know about your process the greater the rewards that you can reap.

Why Choose Makabale RDF Baler?

Our RDF baler is designed to convert the RDF waste into high density bales which are cubical in shape by compressing them. The reduction in the volume of waste makes it easier and cheaper to transport the RDF bales, and they require less space for storage.

Here are some of the most important features of our RDF baler:

  • Depending on the extent of compression required, the balers differ in their rating and pressing force which varies from 40 tons to 120 tons. The size of the bales produced ranges from W28" X H31" to W43" X H43" (bale length is adjustable) and the customer can choose an RDF baler of suitable size based on the design of the RDF plant, inputs available and output required.
  • The operation of the baler is fully automated and includes a system for using wires for tying the RDF bales.
  • The baler includes a conveyor which will automatically feed the material from the top part of the baler hopper (used for storing material) into the chamber of the baler.
  • Hardox plates which are corrosion and abrasion resistant can be used to line the baler's chamber. These plates which protect the machine from any corrosive acids or chemicals in the waste being compressed, increasing the lifespan of the baler machine.
  • Users can use the many functions available in the color touch screen panel of the baler to adjust the parameters like pressure applied, bale size as required. The touch screen panel can also be used for quickly diagnosing any fault in the machine, reducing the time required for maintenance, increasing efficiency, and improving up time of the machine.
  • High quality components from reputed brands are used for manufacturing the balers, so the downtime of the machine is reduced, and the machine lifespan is increased.
  • We can also supply conveyors, granulators and shredders which are usually part of the RDF manufacturing line, making it easier for our clients, since it is easier to integrate all these machines to produce RDF at a low cost.
  • Depending on your specific requirement, our experienced team can customize the RDF baler. Please contact us so that our expert team can understand your baling requirement and design the most suitable baler for your operation.

Overview

It wouldn't be intelligent at all to engage in RDF recycling without the help of an RDF baler. It would be the equivalent of purposely sabotaging your bottom line for no reason. It would be even more tragic to not engage in RDF recycling at all. That would be the equivalent of setting both the world and your wallet on fire.

Do what is right for your business and the planet. If you want to expand your profit margins, optimize your business, and efficiently use every inch of material that is processed then you need an RDF baler.  Contact Makabale today if you have any questions or baling needs for RDF bales, we would be happy to work you out the best solution!
